For this assignment I had an initial idea of a picnic basket, dealing with forgotten memories, ones best forgotten, and ones that one wished could remember. This idea later progressed into the wine case and empty and broken bottles. The direction that the idea took involved more with romantic memories, wishes, and fulfillments, or lack thereof. (hence the condom in the bottom left corner of the interior in the top portion) There are a few references to marriage and the severing of a relationship. Everything inside this box, including the box itself, has been used in part of a memory, either personally for me, or for someone close with me . (MADE OBJECTS: corks, bronze casting of bottle spout)
